Sustainable Residential Design - Renovations, Additions and New Homes

The office of Chong-Zi Chen Architect believes in incorporating basic climatic elements (sun for winter heating, prevailing wind for cross ventilation, rain for water conservation) and natural materials (stone, wood, rammed earth) in building design and construction to achieve significant energy savings (30%-50% less than current utility bill) and work towards a sustainable environment.

It is more affordable and environmentally friendly to remodel and renovate your existing home instead of building a new one. The end result is a saving between 30% to 50% of your monthly utility bills. The cost of the renovation will pay for itself within a short period of time. The remodeling and renovation of your existing home involves the following building components. You will have the option to decide which component(s) to be included in your project based on cost estimates.

Bathrooms
Kitchen
Window
Door
Insulation
Recycled Wood Flooring & Cabinetry
Paints
Exterior Sidings
Roofing
Photovoltaics
Solar Water Heating
Wind Power
Water Conservation
Landscaping & Gardens

and more...
